I can’t play a musical instrument. I’ve tried my hand at it a time or two, but it just wasn’t in the cards for me.
I can however go to a whole other world as soon as you turn on Conway Twitty’s Goodbye Time or The Rolling Stones Wild Horses. George Strait and Randy Travis can make me cry. We won’t even go into the recent Forever Country collaboration. I was a hot, crying mess even after I’d watched it for the fourth time.
Grunt Labor probably described it best when he said, “You and Nick have a relationship with music like nothing else I’ve seen.”
I think it’s impossible to describe just how powerful it can be when words are strung together into lines and choruses and musical notes are added. Needless to say, I had a fantastic time gathering these gift ideas for the music lovers out there. I’ve added many of these items to my own Christmas wish list and went down a few musical rabbit holes in the process. I hope this list helps you to find that perfect gift for the music lover on your list or helps you add to your own wish list like I did. 😉

Gifts for People Who Love Music
Vintage Style Rock T-Shirts
I can never get enough rock n’ roll t-shirts. My absolute favorite outfit consists of jeans paired with my red blazer, bright yellow heels and my beloved Rolling Stones t-shirt. I actually bought the heels specifically because the yellow on them matched the yellow in my t-shirt perfectly. My Rolling Stones t-shirt is no longer being made, but the one above and others pictured are just as great. And much to my surprise, JcPenney is where I found all of these at. They have a huge collection of music t-shirts – there are a ton of different bands and artists – and the shirts range from $6 – $30. These are all in the men’s department, however I buy men’s sizes in shirts all the time and they work just fine on me. In fact, I’m planning to order quite a few of these for myself.
I don’t have a shower head speaker, but we do have a bluetooth speaker built into our ceiling light in the bathroom. Just let me tell you that getting ready has never before been so enjoyable. I used to always play music from my phone while getting ready, but for me, it was just never loud enough. Now, I connect the bluetooth and let that bad boy play loud. The speaker above is around $90 and made by Kohler, so you know it’s going to be a good product. I also found this version though that is $30. I haven’t heard of the brand before, but the speaker has great reviews.
Vintage Reproduction Concert Posters
While these aren’t the actual vintage concert posters, they are reproductions of the vintage ones. I think getting one of these in the gift recipient’s favorite band and framing it for them would be a great gift idea. I think these are especially one of the best gifts for music lovers who have favorite bands that have retired, are no longer together or have members who have passed away.
Music Themed Pillows
That David Bowie pillow is perfection! I am just crazy over it. You can have whatever you want written on the mix tape pillow – you could do names as shown or put the title of a favorite song. You can find a ton of different music related pillows on Etsy.
These coasters are only $18. They would make a perfect small gift for that music or vinyl lover on your list or a great stocking stuffer.
When Bill went away to college, Nick bought him a bluetooth speaker like this one. As he said, “You’ve always gotta be able to have the music.” We have a couple of bluetooth speakers around here and use them all the time. You won’t find us on the deck or me cooking without having music going on one. There are many things I could live without. A bluetooth speaker is not one of them.
Personalized Music Themed Doormats
I got my Dad and stepmom the personalized vinyl record doormat for Christmas last year and they absolutely loved it! I had it personalized with their last name and “Spinning Since 2005,” which was the year they got married. My dad is a big music lover, so this was a perfect gift for him especially. You can also have the mixtape and amp doormat personalized as well. I want the mixtape one for our house.
Music Coffee Table Books
Some think coffee table books are just for decoration. I would have to strongly disagree with them. I think coffee table books should be about the things you find interesting and I think you should read them. I have ones in my living room about Mick Jagger, Elvis, etc. and I love every single one of them. Music themed coffee table books are great gifts for people who love music – they’ll enjoy them, they’ll be proud to display them and they make great conversation pieces.
Personalized Guitar Picks
If you have someone on your list who plays the guitar, have some personalized guitar picks made for them. These are just $8.
