If you’ve got a few people on your list who absolutely love good food and a drink or two, then I’ve got you covered with this list of gifts for foodies and gifts for drinkers. Whether they love cooking, entertaining, eating, beer, wine or whiskey drinking, there will be something here for them.
I’ve done a gift guide in the past with gift ideas for those people who love their libations, but this year I thought it would be fun to do one for both drinkers and foodies. I mean, good food and good booze, do go hand-in-hand, right?!
Some brands provided products and/or compensation for inclusion in this gift guide. However, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. This post contains affiliate links for your shopping convenience. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.
Best Gifts for Foodies
I think “foodies” can consist of a whole lot of different people – people who love to cook and sometimes entertain, people who love to try out new types of food, sauces, etc. and people who just flat out love good food. That being said, I’m going to break this down into categories of gift ideas for those kinds of folks.
Gifts for People Who Love to Cook
If they love to cook, but don’t have the best cookware, then spoil them with some great new pieces. I don’t consider myself one of the world’s greatest cooks by any means, but I do consider my mother-in-law to be one and when it comes to cookware, she knows her stuff. She’s bought me both the dutch oven and some of the Goldtouch pieces and hands-down, they are some of the best things I’ve ever used in cooking. I use that dutch oven for all sorts of things including soups, fried chicken and more. The goldtouch nonstick quarter sheets are perfect for roasting vegetables in the oven, cooking biscuits on, cookies and anything else that requires a sheet pan. If they are really into baking up sweets, get them the bakeware set – they will love you forever!
If they ever watched Breaking Bad and also love to cook, you have to get them this t-shirt! While they weren’t exactly cooking up gourmet meals on Breaking Bad, any cook who watched the show will appreciate the humor that goes along with this shirt. Use code MMCOOK15 to get 15% off this shirt or anything else in this Etsy shop!
A New Apron
This is a great gift for any chef who can turn any cut of beef, lamb, pork or chicken into the most melt-in-your-mouth goodness you’ve ever had. This apron is also great for those grill masters who are always trying to up their game with every new cut of meat they put on the grill.
Gifts for People Who Love to Entertain
For the hostess with the mostest, give him or her a few more pieces to add to their collection. These persimmon serving bowls are gorgeous – I love how the silver rim and wood bottom work together to create a piece that can work for both a fancy dinner party and a more casual gathering. If you’ve got a hostess who has a good sense of humor, go for this butter spreader – there’s no such thing as too much butter. These cheese markers are made from vintage silverware and I think they are just beautiful. They are sold individually, so you can buy as little or as many as you like. For the person who loves their ice cream or throws a great ice cream social, these personalized ice cream spoons are adorable!
Coordinating but Not Matchy-Matchy Dinner Napkins
I love these dinner napkins from Minted because they come in beautifully coordinated sets, but aren’t exact matches. Instead, the napkins complement each other with their colors and designs. My two personal favorites are the Sedona Sunrise and Newport Harbor sets. Each set comes with six napkins, three different designs per set and two napkins per design. You can also check out more of their sets here.
Extra Serving Space
Any hostess will agree – you can never have enough space for serving food and drinks when you’re entertaining. Personally, I love having a good bar cart or two around to pull out and use for drinks or food when we have a party. I have one that always stays in my dining room and can be used for just that, but I also have two others tucked away in my house that I can pull out and use as extra serving spaces as needed. When they aren’t being used at parties, they are great side tables, nightstands and make a great spot for storing extra toiletries too. This bar cart from GDF Studio has a great traditional feel that can go with just about any decor and is also less than $100!
Gifts for People Who Just Love Good Food and Trying New Things
If you’ve got someone on your list who especially loves trying different kinds of meats, then gift them a monthly subscription to the Carnivore Club. You can choose from a snacking option, the classy carnivore option or an exotic jerky bouquet.
For the Ones with a Sweet Tooth…
Gifting popcorn at Christmas is always a good idea and it’s an even better idea when it’s yummy gourmet popcorn! If you need to grab sweet gifts for quite a few folks, you can get three of these popcorns for $24 and can mix and match flavors. Besides foodies, these are also great for giving a little something sweet to teachers, friends and coworkers! All of these are available at Dylan’s Candy Bar, as well as lots of other sweet treats for foodies.
Season and Sauce It Up.
Treat them to some new flavors. If grilling and BBQ is there thing, go for the global BBQ sauce collection – a set of six BBQ sauces from all over the world. If they’re a more refined cook, go for the gourmet olive oil and balsamic vinegar set. If seasoning things up is their thing, choose four different handcrafted spices for them. And finally, if they prefer everything with a little extra heat, give them this gift pack of seven different hot sauces.
Do they love sushi?
I feel like sushi is either love it or hate it – there’s no in between. Personally, I love sushi. Can’t get enough of it. Grunt Labor is the same way and the Circus is headed in that direction. If a person on your gift list is like that as well, they will find this sushi ornament set hilarious.
Best Gifts for Drinkers
Just as with foodies, most people who love their libations often have a preferred poison. So again, I’m going to break this down into a few different categories…
Gifts for Beer Drinkers
A beer from every state.
If they love trying all kinds of different beers from different places, then this beer cap map is perfect for them. You can also opt to get one of these in just a single state shape – find those here. Use code RAINONATINROOF to get 10% off this beer cap USA map and anything else in the Home Wet Bar Etsy shop through Cyber Monday.
Holster ’em up.
Free up their hands with this beer bottle holster. It loops right onto any belt and can even be personalized with the gift recipient’s name or initials.
Gifts for Wine Drinkers
Treat them to a monthly box of wine or a few select specialty wines from Firstleaf. You can choose to surprise them with a subscription box of hand-picked wines just for them or choose to treat them to a wine or two they won’t find at their local wine store. And don’t think this one will set you back a lot – most all the wines are less than $20 a bottle.
New Wine Glasses
I never knew how much I would like a stemless wine glass until I had one in hand. Y’all, they are just the best. They fit so much more nicely in your hand than regular wine glasses do and maybe it’s just me, but I swear I don’t spill near as much with stemless wine glasses! Not only are these wine glasses stemless, but they are also adorned with beautiful geodes.
Gifts for Whiskey Drinkers
A Dose of The Duke
My Pap loved Westerns, so therefore I spent a lot of time with him watching John Wayne grace the television screen. If you’ve got someone who loves a good glass of whiskey and can appreciate The Duke, these glasses are for them.
Their very own whiskey barrel.
If they are serious about their whiskey, you could get them this personalized whiskey barrel. If they like to get creative with their whiskey, you can even opt to get them the barrel with a rum and whiskey making kit. Both options are here.
Gifts for Cocktail Drinkers
Vintage Inspired Cocktail Coasters
For the person who takes advantage of just about every cocktail hour they can, snag them these retro style cocktail coasters. They might just inspire them to try out some cocktails from the 50’s! Find them here! They also come complete with a handy little gift wrapper, perfect for gifting.
Tap that fruit.
Help them create their own fruity kegs with this fruit keg tapping kit. This is perfect for both folks who love a fruity cocktail and those people who do a lot of entertaining during the summer months.
Coordinated Cocktail Napkins
Just as with their dinner napkins, Minted also offers cocktail napkin sets in complementary patterns and colors. Two of my personal favorites for these are the Newport Harbor set and the Flower Market Set. You can see all the different options here. These cocktail napkins come in sets of eight, so if you’re on a tight budget, you could actually break one set into two sets of four and knock out two people on your gift list!
A couple more gift ideas for any type of drinker…
When two of my favorite things unite…
Booze and Vinyl takes you through records from the 1950s to the 2000s along with cocktails and drink recipes to compliment each album. I mean, personally, I can’t think of anything better than this. Can you? Find it here.
A hiding spot.
If someone keeps getting into their special stash, snag them this flask book box. If you really want to win their heart forever, fill the flask with an expensive liquor that they wouldn’t normally treat themselves too.
