Easy Confetti Accent Wall

Have you been introduced to my new favorite wall?

Its shiny, its gold, its fun, and it was so easy to make.

My favorite thing about it? There’s no way you can screw it up.

Meet my Confetti Accent Wall.

This baby made its debut in my recent entryway makeover – ya know – the makeover that was totally unplanned and random?

I have done quite a few accent walls in my time and I have to say that this one was by far the easiest I’ve ever done. There’s no measuring needed and bonus – it only cost me about $25 to do this wall.

Easy Confetti Accent Wall

Materials Needed:

  • FrogTape® Multi-Surface in 0.94″ width
  • FrogTape® Multi-Surface in 1.88″ width
  • Paint Colors of Your Choice (I used one quart of white wall paint and one large bottle of acrylic gold metallic paint.)
  • Small Foam Roller
  • Regular Size Paint Roller
  • Paint Brush

Steps

Step 1:

Before the confetti wall, this wall was a very dark navy. Since I was going with a much lighter color on the wall, I first needed to prime the entire wall. Using the wider width of FrogTape® Multi-Surface, tape off your edges and trim, then prime.

Step 2:

Using a small foam roller, roll on random strips of your “confetti” color. I opted to do gold.

Step 3:

After the confetti color has dried, place strips of the smaller width of FrogTape® Multi-Surface onto the confetti color.

Use a credit card or something similar to burnish the edges of the tape.

Step 4:

Paint your desired wall color over the entire wall.

Step 5:

After your final coat of paint, remove the FrogTape® Multi-Surface, while the paint is still wet.

Remove tape carefully - Easy Confetti Accent Wall

Let the wall completely dry before you put anything on it or near it.

Thanks, Kate! Its such a fun and easy wall to make! The white is Snow Fall by Behr and the Gold is Martha Stewart gold acrylic craft paint (buy the bigger bottle) from Michael’s. Have fun!
