I’ve got another quick little 10 minute faux crystal project for you today! I really love these little things – they are so pretty and simple to make!

This time around, I used one of the faux crystals to embellish a simple vase. You may already have one of these vases lying around!

  • Faux Crystal – use this tutorial to make the crystal. You can embellish your vase with as many crystals as you wish.
  • Vase of Your Choice – I chose a simple, clear, square one like this.
  • E6000 Glue

StepsStep 1

After you’ve made your faux crystal(s), let them fully dry overnight before applying them to your vase. Choose a side on your vase to put the crystal on and make sure it is clean. If you wipe it off, be sure to let it dry before applying the crystal.

Step 2

Apply E6000 glue to the backside of the crystal and firmly push it into place on the vase.

Keep the vase on it’s side and allow the glue to dry overnight.

Fill with your favorite flowers!

I really love the simple, but chic look these faux crystals add to the vase – and it’s such an easy project! If you have a taller vase, you could line multiple crystals up vertically as well.

I am loving these faux crystals! Do you think it is possible to use food coloring to make different styles? Maybe Emerald? or Amethyst?

So I tried that with green food coloring, and the food coloring didn’t hold onto the salts. It was ok at first, then after a few days, the color just starting come off the salts. I’m not sure if it was the glue, the spray paint or that it just won’t take to the salts. I’m still testing out some other ways to make it work.
