I was so proud of myself for finally posting a new project a few weeks back and while you guys liked it, you asked for pictures of the store! I had no idea you guys would want to see so much of it. I certainly don’t plan on the blog turning into a platform for LD, but it makes my damn day to know that you guys are so supportive and interested in seeing more about Local Depot.
So here’s a virtual tour! Things are constantly changing at the store. We have some pretty great vendors who are awesome about always bringing in new items, switching things up, etc. So some of the pictures you see here aren’t what the store looks like today or tomorrow or next week.
The signs in the top windows are new – aren’t they fun!? Mad props to Grunt for cutting out those fingers.
Anytime the weather is good, we set up some items outside to pull in customers and give a little sneak peek of what’s inside…
The 127 yard sale (the world’s longest!) just came through and it runs right in front of the store, so we really tried to capitalize on that. One of our vendors, Craft Night Creations, made some of the cutest 127 gear.
Southern Lee Sunflower makes loads of different types of t-shirts that people absolutely love. And the girl never stops – she is always coming up with new designs.
Jason and I use the front spaces of the store for our own items. Here’s a little snapshot of what that space looked like most recently…
We have all sorts of different types of vendors. We’ve got folks who do vintage/home decor, painters, photographers, sewers, painted furniture, wood working and so much more!
Roost has a mix of handcrafted items as well as vintage. They also carry quite the selection of old newspapers – like from when Lennon was shot, JFK killed, etc.
The Southern Porch has a farmhouse feel mix of painted furniture, home decor and vintage finds. They are a family team and are constantly mixing things up.
JM Creative Co. turns the basic into amazing works of art! She just moved to a larger booth, so I can’t wait to see what all else she starts bringing into the store!
If you want a great smelling candle at a super affordable price, then Cagle Creations is your best bet. Deanna has loads of different scents and an entire wall that is nothing but candles.
Defining Stitches makes the sweetest kids aprons. We even talked her into making Mommy and Me sets, so now the kid and I are proud owners of matching fox aprons.
Blue Smoke and Sage makes fabulous bath and body products. The kid and I love her milk bath and scrubs especially. She also makes some great beard oil and balms that she could barely keep on the shelves.
And we have fresh flowers! Aren’t these gorgeous, y’all? Sweet Violets delivers fresh flowers every Thursday. Lakyn and her daughter grow these theirselves. Every week I say, these are the prettiest bunch yet and the next week, I’m just saying that again!
Trish specializes in bowl koozies. When she first approached Jason and I about becoming a vendor, we both were like, you make what? Well, when she brought them in, I discovered these were the most clever little creations!
Miss Alexa Lett has a fantastic mix of vintage and her own art…
Her clever works never get old!
Mr. Lee does some incredible woodworking. He makes gorgeous cutting boards and hand carves these little guys among other things!
And we’ve got food! In its earliest days, our building was actually Dunlap Grocery. We had hoped we could give a nod to that heritage by bringing on some food vendors and we did! Love is all You Knead is our resident baker and those pecan pies are everything, folks!
Farm Girl Canning has some of the most delicious jams, jellies, pickles and lemonades I’ve ever tasted! She also does all sorts of canned veggies – we love having her at LD!
Among many other wonderful things, Craft Night Creations makes these fabulous Dolly candles. She has also added Loretta to the collection. I’m just waiting on Conway now!
Grunt has made all sorts of barn wood creations to sell. Tennessee cutouts are his speciality, but he’s branching out into other seasonal items as well – stay tuned!
The Blue Daisy has us covered with the cutest bows you could ever imagine. My kid isn’t even a bow wearer, but even she loves all the bows from Blue Daisy.
It’s not a book, it’s a NOTEbook! The Gunny and His Wife offer a wide array of items at LD, but these books turned notebooks are some of my favorites from them.
Lune Artistry brings new life to old pieces of art in so many different creative ways – this is just one of my favorites of his.
Gotta have a resident wreath maker, right? Stephanie’s are beautiful!
Sarah E. Walker Photography has both beautiful photographs and a beautiful soul. Her sunflower prints are nothing short of stunning.
The Bloom girls have a mix of items including bright and colorful and vintage – there’s always something fun lurking around their space.
Faith’s Creations just moved in at the first of this month and we already love her! Her onesies are so fun!
Lucky for us, we also welcomed Stephanie and all her vintage Pyrex goodness on board this month – her space is a fun trip through the colorful Pyrex past.
SunJewl makes beautiful, colorful sun catchers in all sorts of shapes and styles.
We created a booth in the back just for kids. We have one vendor who makes these fantastic little Play Doh sensory kits.
We have some really talented artists! Michael does gorgeous work and gets really creative with his frames. He has some New Orleans pieces that have my heart.
Indian Summer Farms offers soaps made from goat’s milk!
The Copper Banjo just joined us recently. She makes adorable little hand stamped pet tags.
There’s so much more at the store, y’all! If you’re ever in the area, stop by! A few of you already have and I can’t tell you how much it’s meant to me.
We are at 15652 Rankin Ave., Dunlap, TN 37327. Store hours are Thursday-Saturday from 10am – 6pm Central Time and Sunday from 12pm – 4pm Central.
We’d be happy to see you and give you some ideas for enjoying other aspects of the Sequatchie Valley during your visit. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more updates!
Thanks for the support, y’all! It means the world to us!
