You guys know I have a love for just about everything Kate Spade.

It all started with this Kate Spade inspired lamp.

And then Mama bought me this Kate Spade serving set for mother’s day and I nearly peed my pants.

I saw this black and white Kate Spade photo frame around Christmas and almost put it on my wish list, but then I realized I could easily do a Kate Spade Knock-Off on this picture frame.

Kate Spade Knock-Off Frame

This will take all of about 15 minutes of your time and cost you about $5.

Boom.

Materials Needed:

-Acrylic Photo Frame (I used a 5×7 size. These are the same kind I used on my DIY Lucite Trays.)

-White paint (optional if you have a white back already)

-Electrical Tape

-Scissors

Steps

Remove the cardboard backing of the frame. You can paint it white or if its already white, leave it. Just to be sure mine was a true white, I spray painted it white and let it dry for about an hour before proceeding.

Step 1

Put a strip of electrical tape across the top of the white cardboard backing.

Step 2

Put strips of electrical tape across the top and bottom of the cardboard backing.

Step 3

Use tape strips to measure the width between tape strips.

Step 4

Apply two more strips to the backing.

Step 5

Place a photo in your frame, then put the backing in with the black and white stripes facing out.

Why couldn’t you just use scrapbook paper for this? I’ve seen the black and white wide stripe, plus there are so many colors and patterns you can use to fit your style. Although this black and white is the BEST!

You totally could, Crystal! I just had the electrical tape on hand and loved the black and white stripes!
