I am a Christmas ornament whore.
Not all ornaments though – only vintage ball ornaments.
And they never go on my tree – the tree is reserved for really meaningful ornaments – instead, these ornaments get scattered throughout the house and in clusters. My favorite is the clusters though.
Now, these clusters could be nothing new to you. It may just be that I was living under a rock for a very long time and when this idea dawned on me awhile back, it just seemed like the best thing ever. So, if you already knew how to do this…then why the hell didn’t you tell me?! If you didn’t, here you go.
How to Make Ornament Clusters
All you need are ornaments and ribbon of some sort. I prefer gold curling ribbon.
Cut a long piece of ribbon. I cut mine longer than I need because I use the curly ribbon and like the long curly spiral on the end. String however many ornaments your little heart desires onto the ribbon.
I suggest random sizes with more smaller ones than larger ones. If you get too many larger ones, then sometimes the ornaments will pop off.
Tie the ends of the ribbon together to form a ball.
You don’t want to tie it super tight, but enough to where a larger ball of sorts or cluster is formed.
Make it rain ornament clusters everywhere…
And of course…
Where will you make it rain?
Ornament clusters of course.
And dear freaks – have a stellar Thanksgiving. I’m so very thankful to have people who enable my freakiness and cheap beer habit. Cheers to you!
You know you don’t wanna miss any of this crazy.
