The duct tape ideas continue this week! Last week, for Trash to Treasure, I showed you one of my latest duct tape crafts – Duck Tape Trim Curtains.
The fun continues this week with this bookcase makeover using Duck Tape.
First off, I apologize for the graininess in the photos. Y’all, I just did not get a good day with good light to take these, but I’m hoping you will forgive me on this one. The idea is still there!
You may remember this bookcase from when it was sporting a grain sack stripe on the back. I like grain sack stripes, but my living room’s style has changed since I did that, and the bookcase needed a makeover as well.
A month or so back, I got this green vinyl from Online Fabric Store to put in the back of the bookcase. I love the green, but the bookcase needed something more.
And then I remembered I still had some duct tape left over from the curtains.
I used this gold Duck Tape*. I didn’t measure, I just eyeballed it, cause I’m a rebel like that. I put a strip of duck tape in the middle of each section, then one above that strip and one below it.
I just can’t quit you, Duck Tape. There are more duct tape ideas, crafts and creations coming your way – stay tuned!
