If you follow me on Facebook, you may know (and may be sick of) about my current love for all things gold.
Gold Dipped Barstool Makeover with Spray Paint
I don’t think its just me though, I am seeing it everywhere! I first saw this idea for a gold dipped barstool here.
So, when Grunt Labor brought home this barstool, I immediately knew its fate.
Simple Barstool Makeover
First, I spray painted the bottom part of the legs and seat gold on my high-tech spray painting pedestals (a.k.a. flower pots and scrap wood). After the gold was on there, I put plastic wrap and tape around it to keep the blue spray paint from getting on the gold.

I gave it a couple coats of Rustoleum Painter’s Touch in Aqua and finished it off with a gloss clear coat.

I dipped chairs with silver once – but I think I’m loving the gold much better!!!
