This is so easy to do, it almost feels wrong to post about it.
But I’ve never let that stop me before.
I have this cute little white Christmas tree that I picked up at Goodwill a few years back, but its top has always been naked – no tree topper.
This year as I was adding sparkly blue ornaments to it (the only color coordinated Christmas tree you will find here), I spied the kid’s birthday hat out of the corner of my eye.
And it hit me.
Well, the hat didn’t actually hit me, but you know what I mean.
Make an elf hat tree topper.
That’s what hit me.
As I said, this is so easy, its almost a sin.
All I did was print out the template I used on the kid’s birthday hat, traced that onto sparkly green card stock and cut it out.
I hot glued it into a cone, then freehanded the red band at the bottom and hot glued that onto the hat.
I topped it off with a red pom.
Even a kid could do this. Just don’t let them near the hot glue gun. Or anything hot for that matter, like say, a ummm, flat iron. It hasn’t happened here before or anything, I’m just sayin’.
