I am, by far, the biggest sucker for band t-shirts – preferably actual vintage ones or ones that have that vintage look.
I can’t get enough of them.
I have some I haven’t even worn yet.
But, still, I want more.
Honestly, I just want to create my own line of band and music t-shirts because then I could actually have a good Conway Twitty one that I liked. Alas, I will keep hunting.
Until then, here are a few of my favorite band tees I own and ideas for working them into outfits.
Four Ways to Wear Band Tees

#1 Band T-Shirt with Cutoff Sleeves + Jeans + Bright Heels + Killer Clutch
I ordered this KISS t-shirt from Etsy last summer. It got here and I was a little disappointed because the sleeves were much longer than what I liked. It sat in my closet, unworn, for months. And then one day, the most simple idea hit me – cut off the sleeves! So I did. Grunt Labor came home to me in the middle of the floor cutting the sleeves off this one and another couple of t-shirts. It was the perfect fix.
Since this t-shirt has so many bright colors on it, my favorite way to wear it is to keep it neutral with the jeans, but then bring in another pop of color to tie in with the shirt with my clutch and heels. Those heels are my favorite pair ever. I bought them specifically because I knew they would rock it with this shirt and one of my Stones t-shirts. I wear them with those, but I also wear them with so many other outfits too. They are my go-to heels and comfortable at that. The heel is the perfect height.
If you look closely in the photo above, you can also see my bright yellow earrings peeking out as well.
By the way, if you have a mini-me, I just snagged this kid’s KISS t-shirt for the Circus!
#2 Band T-Shirt + Blazer + Bold Pants + Leopard Print
Rolling Stones T-Shirt (similar ones also here and here) / White Blazer (similar ones here and here) / Red Pants (similar ones here, here and here) / Leopard Wedges / Leopard Clutch (similar ones here, here and here)
If you ever see me at a work event like a conference or meeting or something like that, then most of the time, I’m going to be wearing a blazer paired with a band t-shirt. It’s my thing. I have a few Rolling Stones t-shirts and I often pair this one with a white blazer, my red dress pants, leopard shoes and a leopard clutch.

I love these kind of outfits because I’m still rocking my own personal style, while keeping it professional. Well, sort of, I’ve never been great at being all professional. haha.
#3 Band T-Shirt + Colored Jeans + Cowboy Boots
And who says you can’t pair cowboy boots with a rock band t-shirt? 😉
I wear my cowboy boots just about any chance I get. I randomly threw this outfit together and loved how it turned out. It’s really comfy too.
#4 Band T-Shirt + Jeans + Mix and Match Heels & Clutch
This is my favorite Rolling Stones t-shirt. Ever. I’ve had it for years, the man of questionable honor actually bought it for me after we moved him down to Atlanta. I love it by itself, but also pair it with blazers often.
I usually always carry my yellow clutch with this shirt as well to bring out the yellow in the t-shirt more. Sometimes I also match it up with the yellow pumps, but this time I opted to mix it up with the red heels.
Are you a band t-shirt lover? What are your favorite ways to wear them?
P.S. Don’t tell anyone, but I just ordered more band tees while in the process of writing this post. #helplessbandtshirtjunkie I included the ones I just bought and everything from this post below!
