Polka Dot DIY Placemats in 15 minutes

Apparently, polka dots are a theme around here this week.

But really, what better pattern to be a theme than polka dots? They are just too fun.

If you were around last summer, you know my polka dot love started with my Kate Spade inspired lamp makeover.

On Monday, I shared a fun DIY party wreath complete with polka dots as well.

The polka dots are back again with these DIY Placemats.

I whipped up these bad boys with the same oilcloth that I used on the party wreath. Now, we all know I can’t draw or cut a straight line even with a ruler, so I pulled a 16 x 16 picture frame off the wall and traced it onto the back of the fabric.

And then I had pretty little polka dotted squares.

I used this pink ribbon that was leftover from the party wreath to make the bows around the plates.

I refuse to tell you how long I spent trying to make that bow look decent. Needless to say, if you have a bow trick – send it my way.

I did two sets of both styles cause that’s how I roll.

Any DIY placemats in your future? With polka dots? Or maybe one of these fun prints?

You know you don’t wanna miss any of this crazy.
