The day after Halloween, the Circus announced to her baby dolls as she was strolling them down the hallway that “It’s not Halloween anymore; it’s Christmas.”
She seemed rather excited to jump from one holiday to the other so quickly. This may or may not have been due in part to me taking down all the Halloween decor and bringing out all the Christmas decor on November 1st.
We pulled out our Christmas tree and decorated it. When she found some of her ornaments that we usually put on the tree, she announced they would go on her tree.
Her tree that was non-existent.
So I did what any mother of a spoiled child would do, I went and took her to buy her own Christmas tree.
Parenting at its finest, ya’ll.
We opted to browse all the At Home Christmas Decor. I told her she could pick out a small tree for her room and a couple of new ornaments. At Home is a one-stop shop for all things Christmas decor related and has everyday low prices.
And out of all the 100+ Christmas Trees available in a variety of colors and sizes at At Home, what did she choose?
Not the gold or white one I was leaning toward.
A blue one. A blue Christmas tree. One look at it and she was done.
Blue is everything to her right now – she has literally requested a blue room with a blue pillow and a blue blanket at the new house.
She came home and meticulously decorated her “Tree for Me.”
I use meticulously very loosely as you can see from her tinsel decorating.
Once the decorations were on, she was very upset she didn’t have a star for her tree. In a stroke of genius, I gave her Mickey Mouse ears to top off the tree.
She didn’t think that was cool at all. 😉
She also picked out two new ornaments – a My Little Pony and a Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtle.
It’s obvious she’s my child, just based on her random selections. Personally though, I was leaning toward the Gene Simmons from KISS ornament.
I will say – Michelangelo never looked so good.
Nor has a blue Christmas tree.
Don’t worry – you don’t have to opt for blue Christmas tree – perhaps a pink one or even an upside down one? I saw one of those at At Home as well. Nope, I’m not kidding. An upside down Christmas tree, y’all.
