This is one of my absolute favorite days of the year! It’s been even more fun this year because for the first time in a long time, I dressed up!
We did a Halloween party this year and I opted to be a witch, but put my own spin on it! I made the tulle skirt and for the top, I used a halter style formal top and embellished it with feathers. You can’t see it that great in this photo, but I had some serious makeup going on too – lots of green and black eyeshadow and green and black lips. Of course, I had to have a broom so I used one I had made this year out of items from the Dollar Tree.
The Circus of course dressed up as well!
For the Halloween party, she was a Boston Terrier. She was supposed to be a Boston Terrier Fairy Dog, but the fairy wings broke as we were putting them on. She didn’t mind too much though.
For Halloween tonight, she is going to be a black cat. I’m still planning on dressing up as a witch, but I won’t be wearing this ensemble. While I absolutely love how it all turned out, it’s not exactly ideal for walking around the neighborhood.
This October marked the 10 year anniversary of the Jenna N Andy pumpkin that Nicky made way back when.
For the Halloween party, we opted to recreate the pumpkin. Nicky also wore his Santa suit to the Halloween party, which was the same suit he ran straight through a glass door in nine Halloweens ago.
Ahhh, the memories. ?
Here are a few other snapshots from our Halloween party…
Kathryn came as Carmen Sandiego – do you guys remember that game show? It was really popular when Kat and I were kids.
Kat also sported this fantastic shirt that our friend Ashley made for her. I love it and think I’m going to have to get one for myself!
Frankenstein gave Santa a break for a bit.
One of the Circus’ many (unplanned) costume changes of the night.
Me and Frankenstein always up to no good. 😉
Chuck and Wilson from Cast Away
The Wicked Witch of the West even stopped by for a visit!
A good time was had by all!
Happy haunting tonight, friends!
