When did life begin to move so fast? I would swear to you that just a year or two ago I had just turned 18 and had my whole life ahead of me – and it seemed like it had taken forever to get to that point.
Then I blinked.

Now I’m 32. With a husband, a five-year-old, a house and bills. And all those posts that keep getting shared on Facebook about 20 songs that turn 20 years old in 2017 just make me want to sit down and cry.
Life moves fast and to top it all off, it seems like in the past five years, time started driving a Ferrari instead of a Corvette. I would prefer it to switch to a nice, four door, slow sedan. Perhaps a Buick.
Just this past May alone was filled with family reunions, the Circus’ birthday, my birthday, multiple other friends’ birthday parties, family photos (as you’re seeing) and an assortment of no less than 10 other various events and appointments.
We are tired. We need to recharge. Well, maybe just me. The Circus and Grunt seem to be Energizer Bunnies.
For our crew, summer has officially started and we’re ready for a break.
I’m not shutting down the blog for the summer or anything like that, but you might only see one or two posts around here a week. We’re going to have lots of pool days, make ridiculous amounts of pink lemonade and homemade popsicles, spend some time at the farm, hit up the beach, have a few mini-local vacations and probably do a little day drinking as well. 😉
That’s her version of a wink.
I hope you take it easy this summer too. Give yourself a little room to breathe and most definitely take part in a little summer day drinking.
Cheers to summer, my friends!
