It’s time for another update on the master bedroom makeover! As shocking as it was (and even still is a little to me) I opted to use some pink in this room.
Trust me, I questioned myself on this color choice no less than 158 times during this makeover. It worked out perfectly in the end though. 🙂 Before painting the walls, I taped off all the trim with FrogTape® Delicate Surface. I had just painted the trim in the room black a couple days before, so since the paint was still somewhat fresh, Delicate Surface was the way to go.
Three walls in the room got three coats of the pink paint – apparently, covering green with pink is no easy feat.
After plotting out the design for the one accent wall, doing all the measuring and taping, I was ready for paint.
I opted to keep the black and pink color combination running on the accent wall too.
I did two coats of the black. I could have probably gotten by with one coat, but did two just for good measure. I used FrogTape® Multi-Surface for the accent wall. I had waited about a week between painting the wall and doing the taping and painting of the design, so using regular FrogTape® would be just fine for this part of the project.
And while the paint was drying…
…a headboard was being built…
….carpet may or may not have been going on a wall…
…and a huge frame was being built for cheap because the budget was tight.
Check back next week to see the full reveal – I can barely wait to show you!
