I don’t know about you, but the Circus, Grunt and I are super pumped that spring has sprung. Our garden is in the ground, our pool is getting cleaned out, the Circus can finally ride her tricycle and I don’t have on two layers of sweats. Fall is my favorite time of the year, but Spring is a close second.
Grunt Labor is our gardener around here, but I got an itch for a couple new planters and a new cushion for my lounge chair to use at the 70’s Landing Pad the other day. We went to At Home to see what we could find.
Literally, the minute we walked in the door the Circus spotted a gold dog statue. #imaginethat Seeing as how we already have a plethora of dog statues, stuffed dog toys and multiple other dog paraphernalia items, I told her no. She sulked.
We shopped around and I found a great cushion for my metal chaise lounge in the At Home Patio department. The Circus then opted to continue her sulking in the cart on top of the cushion beside the $15 umbrella that just magically hopped into my cart. Because really how can one resist an outdoor umbrella with a pretty wood pole and green umbrella that matches your lounge chair cushion for only $15? No one, I tell you. No one.
And then I found two fantastic white modern planters that also hopped into my cart and at that point, the Circus was slightly irritated that I was now taking up her cart space and started making – I kid you not – pterodactyl noises for much of our shopping excursion. Needless to say, we’re going through a dinosaur phase. Finally, she saw a ceramic frog planter in At Home’s Outdoor Decor Collections she wanted and at that point, I was willing to do anything to get her to stop with the pterodactyl noises so I let her get it.
We came home and picked out a place in the backyard.
One thing I love about our new place is that we have a huge level yard! I have seriously never seen the Circus run around so much in a yard before.
We planted flowers in our new pretty white planters and random frog planter.
And as I came back from getting the chaise lounge to put the cushion on, the Circus had opted to forgo the chair.
Instead, she just pulled out the cushion, threw it on the ground and then herself on it.
Lounge chairs optional, y’all.
And honestly, I thought to myself, well that’s a great idea kid.
So I pitched up the umbrella right behind her.
Who needs the chaise lounge?
Pretty flowers in pretty planters, a cushy cushion, an umbrella and a good book. Hello Spring. I’ve missed you.
If you are ready to get your spring on, I highly suggest stopping by At Home. They have tons of spring decor and Outdoor Entertaining goodies in a range of prices and styles. Even the ceramic frog I bought as a bribe turned out rather cute.
