My filter is broken.
I think that’s quite clear by this point in my blogging career.
If for some reason you’re new here today – FYI, my filter is broken. You should expect inappropriate comments, obsencenties and completely irrelevant items to spew forth from my fingers to the keyboard to your computer screen at any moment.
I feel like I should travel with a sign around my neck or perhaps a sticker on my purse that says, “Broken filter.”
People should be warned.
Case in point: In December, I was asked to speak at the Brunch Collective – a quarterly brunch for creative female entrepreneurs in the Chattanooga area, which is where I live. I was super honored to have been asked and super stoked.
Shawanda of Eat. Drink. Frolic. is the genius behind The Brunch Collective.
She is such a sweetheart, but also a driven entrepreneur who is all about empowering fellow female entrepreneurs. Obviously, I liked her from the first time I met her. #girlpower

After a bit of chatting and brunch of course, Shawanda moderated a Q & A.
I tried my hardest to answer all the questions without being inappropriate.
I was trying really hard, y’all…
And then somehow we started talking about your brand evolving and style and how much mine has changed and the new 70’s Landing Pad…
And that’s when I said, “It’s going to be like Studio 54 – minus the orgies.”
Way to go, Jenna. Drop “orgies” to a roomful of women after only knowing them for an hour.
At the end, most of them said I was funny though. So I guess I didn’t completely bomb the brunch.
I should really work on that filter issue though…
Nah, maybe not.
It’s more fun that way.
P.S. I really missed you guys the last couple of weeks – I hope you each had a stellar holiday season!
You know you don’t wanna miss any of this crazy.
