It was love at first spray when I made the Kate Spade Inspired Lamp Makeover.
I had met my decorating color soulmate and there was no turning back.
Green and I went together as well as me and cheap beer.
Well, almost. Let’s face it – cheap beer will always have my heart. Oh, and Grunt Labor too.
I think one of the main reasons I love green so much is because it looks great with my second in line favorite colors.
The Best Green Color Combinations for Decorating

Green + Navy
Painting the lower cabinets navy was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made. My green barstools just pop off the navy and white.
This nursery. No more babies for me, but this nursery is just adorable. I am digging that dresser. I wouldn’t turn my nose up at it in my own house. Just sayin’.
No doubt, the rug and the green accent wall totally make this space.
Another bold green wall with navy accessories. I’d take those X-benches too. 🙂
Green + Red
If you are one of those people who think green and red only belong together at Christmastime, I’m so sorry for you. I’ll be honest – I use to think that too. But let me tell you, I think the combination is bold, pretty, and unexpected.
This living room – and the entire house – was featured in HGTV magazine a while back. I drooled the entire time I read about it.
Those might just be my favorite lamps in the whole house paired with my favorite curtains.
Green + White
Green & White Cane Inspired Accent Wall
You can never go wrong with green and white – its perfectly crisp.
While the bed is a bit too fancy for my taste, this green and white bedroom wouldn’t be too hard to pull off. Paint all the walls green. Make everything else in the room white. Showstopper.
I’ve always thought that photo frames together in the same color make a big impact. This stairwell proves I was right.
Green + Black + White
Green and Black and White Chair Makeover
Green + Black + White = Oh so right.
Look, she rhymes!

I love greens with browns. It’s Earthy and calming but can still be bold! Here is my $ 10 Goodwill antique piano bench that I stained and used milk paint/glaze in Emerald. I’m using it for a vanity bench.
Nevermind! I don’t know how to post a pic here! So greens and Browns!
Jenna @ Rain on a Tin Roof says
Oh, I didn’t even think of that combo, Cristina! I can agree though – those two work well together!

I have always loved green & navy together. I think it goes back to the preppy Izod shirts I had, which would now be vintage. Always fun to see your projects.
Jenna @ Rain on a Tin Roof says
Yes, Rosemary! Maybe that’s where that combo got its start! haha!

Green is the color of nature, and blue is the color of sky. A perfect combination of peace and serenity. Yes, those painted cabinets are epic!
