Remember that fabulous coral and green striped table I showed you the other day?
This lamp was its mate.
It was on top of the table at the yard sale.
The lamp was actually overhauled before the table. I think when the table saw how fabulous the lamp was, it decided it should be just as fabulous, if not more.
Have any of you called the asylum yet to come pick up the crazy lady who says her furniture has thoughts and feelings?
One of you should probably get on that. I’ll start packing.
Anywho, when I first brought the lamp home, I initially thought I would give it a coat of Rub ‘N Buff.
Yea, that wasn’t working out too well.
Plan B: Enter aqua spray paint.
Yep, I like that. I gave the lamp two coats of the aqua spray paint and a couple top coats of Rust-Oleum’s Gloss Topcoat to shine it up.
I was stressing over what what kind of shade to put on it. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a shade for a lamp that I had purchased at a yard sale and planned to re-sell. As I was scouring my craft room, I came across a shade with birds on it that had once been in my living room. I thought, “That will never work, but I’ll try it anyway.” And much to my surprise, it looked great on the lamp.
What do you think about the combination?
Like what you see?
