Boog Boog is turning one in May! So far, her parents have successfully kept her from badly injuring herself, besides the multiple bruises and scratches, but hey, no brain injuries. They must be stellar parents.
Seriously though, we are very blessed to have an amazing, healthy little girl. So, it is time to celebrate! As much I love the Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake (I may or may not have scoured antique stores looking for vintage Care Bear & Strawberry Shortcake paraphernalia while the kid was still in the womb), I decided not to make either one of those Boog Boog’s birthday party theme. Instead, we are going with a Blue and Pink Vintage theme! Which, may not really count as a theme at all, but hey, this birthday is all about what I want – she’s not gonna remember it and I made it through her first year without becoming an alcoholic.
There are two blogs that I may be stalking because of the too-cute birthdays they threw for their girls!
April over at House by Hoff threw her daughter a “Vintage Cupcake” themed party!
Isn’t that table adorable?! I love the vintage tablecloth – still scouring antique stores for one, but no luck yet!
I love all the little touches she has. The straws in the blue Mason jar (already have the Mason jar and the straws are ordered) and the pink paper flowers against the white milk glass is so pretty!
Jamie at Better with Age has an adorable cake table as well!
I love the bunting she has above the table and the sprinkle cake is so cute and looks delicious! I was just gonna go with all cupcakes, but I’m thinking that cake is too cute to pass up making!
Jamie also decorated her entryway – love the tissue paper pom-poms, definitely making some of those in pink and blue! The banner against the wall is also darling!
Fair warning: get ready for some birthday party posts around here! I will try my hardest not to overload you with it!
What are you favorite birthday themes?
